Beeswax 1 pound

Just received the beeswax from eBeeHoney - Smells good and is not soft and spongy like that crap (smelled like petrol) I got and returned from that mega online shopping site. I was duped because they had photo's of the bee farm, Q's and A's, etc. I now will use eBeeHoney's wax to make a varnish for my oil paintings. Look up Cold Wax Medium for more info. Due to my own ignorance, I've been using 'beeswax' pellets/grains in my DIY beauty products for a couple years. I'd always gotten the white wax, so I could add color dyes to certain things. The white wax did not smell like anything. Recently, I decided to try yellow wax pellets - thinking the yellow must be more natural than white, because I imagine if honey isn't naturally white, neither is the wax. Anyhow, the yellow pellets stunk horribly of smoke - almost like an ashtray. There was no way I could use them in my body scrub. The smell was so strong, I doubt the scented essential oils would have masked it. Not wanting to be wasteful, I thought of making emergency candles, but the thought of filling the house with that smell, during a power outage, quickly changed my mind, so I returned them. At some point, while consulting Google University about why beeswax would smell so awful, I came across a particular informative site (wish I could remember what it was) where, after reading several articles, I began reading some of the comments, and that is how I learned about eBeeHoney - one of the commenters shared a link to this site, and said they will never buy from anyone else. Whoever that person is, thank you for sharing! I purchased 2 pounds of beeswax. It was on my doorstep within 3 days - super fast delivery! When I opened it, and took a whiff, I actually wanted to take a bite of it. I had no clue that pure beeswax had a scent, let alone a sweet honey-like scent. Yesterday, I used some to make a sugar scrub. It turned out fantastic. My skin felt so much smoother, and better moisturized with this wax, in comparison to what I'd been using. I will absolutely purchase from eBeeHoney again!

Im not sure how this is processed. It reeks like a dirty shoe. Buy local don't trust online eBeeHoney Response: Ian this is processed by simply using cheesecloth to filter it. It is top quality beeswax and yes beeswax will smell like a beehive which most people find great. Your review reminds us what people state with buckwheat honey - they either love it or they don't like it due to the smell of the honey. Pure beeswax is the same way where some folks that are not familiar and think it should not smell at all. It is great beeswax! Make sure when you buy local you realize that most stores will sell beeswax and state it is pure beeswax when by law it can contain up to 45% some other type of wax paraffin, soy, etc. Pure beeswax should burn with no black plume and should feel tacky to the touch, never greasy! We've found so many folks over the years who have been buying so called beeswax which they then discover they have not. Take care.

I bought this to make hand salve. When I started melting it, the honey smell filled the kitchen. ??I live it! It wasn�t as hard to cut as I thought it would be.
