Buckwheat Honey
Raw Buckwheat Honey is a dark, rich honey made from the nectar of buckwheat flowers.
Buckwheat Honey is a darker honey many times a very dark brown, sometimes with a reddish tinge, and can range from deep brown to almost black.
Darker honeys are more beneficial due to their higher concentration of antioxidants, minerals, and enzymes compared to lighter varieties.
Tastes Like: Strong and pungent, often described as having malty, slightly bitter, and molasses-like characteristics. It is not as overtly sweet as some other honeys.
Pairs With: Bold Cheeses / Strong Cheeses, Savory Meats, Roasted Vegetables, Rich Desserts and Baked Goods, Yogurt, Rustic Breads.
